I've discovered the 13 x 18 cm frames are the perfect size for me 13 x 18 cm photos. Odd :)

OK for some of them I do want a bigger size but our usual method of putting black cardboard behind the object for a "surround" looks crap with photos :(

I was in at Eco-Salv the other day. In case you can't tell from the name, it's a junk salvage place that sells TVs & glassware & assorted locks & vinyl records. And they had a good selection of frames that were rather cheap, so I picked up a pile. Finally got around tonight to seeing if I had anything that would look good in them. I'd taken them apart and played around them when I first got them but not with the black paper I use for a background surround.

I pulled one of them apart to try a picture for size and found this in it...

Very lacking in detail. In the bottom corner it says "Whitelaw's Studio". Whitelaw was a local photographer. The badges are Australian Army of the design used from 1904 to 1969. I guess he'll remain mystery man, well boy.
