A road trip, in photos, because it's easier than writing about it.
I was thinking of actually keeping track of points given out this year, so I'm starting here, and questions are numbered in bold.
Early Tuesday morning, we left sunny & rather warm Evandale for places south. Places where the day before it had been 33oC and sunny.
We drove through here

finally arriving in the city, where we spent about half an hour driving around trying to decide if the parking meters & signs meant anything on a public holiday.
Eventually (after a stop at the police station even) we decided they didn't and we left the car and walked down through

and past the

with a slight detour via

(For first two points, name the ship 1)

and finally getting to

in time for lunch.

Which was a Chilean beef pie (something about pandas), venison ravioli, some rather potent cherries dipped in grappa, and

Then we walked back and looked at

and the stuffed-toy skins

and these

and this

and, now there's an easy two points 2.

Then we went here

and looked at (one point 3)

and, because I had my camera in here for the first time & I wanted a photo, this
(one point, I thought about offering a bonus point for guessing why I wanted one but that's not fair 4)

This was the big temporary exhibition

there was a section on wildlife (baby Emperor penguins)

and whaling (scrimshaw)

and exploration (postcard commemorating the British National Antarctic Expedition, posted from London the day SS Discovery sailed)

Model of Mawson's living quarters*, occupied by 18 men & 21 dogs.

and various things needed to live down that but, but I the others had "given up" by now so I had to go :(

On the way home,

we made a detour looking for a shop that was open

and finally stopped here (one point for the town 5)

and had a walk around here (two points, because I don't think it's that recognisable 6) but being 6 pm, it was closed :(

And from there, home!
