Crash, bang

Yesterday was hot and threatening to rain all day.

Possibly why I didn't sleep that well last night. Kept waking up and not knowing where I was. Or was I still asleep? Wanting to check out the window or the door to make sure I was in my own bed.

At 1 am, the storm broke. Rolling thunder, heavy, pounding rain and constant sheet lighting out all windows. Flash, flash, flash, not letting up. I could have read by it if I'd bothered.

I did wander around the house without the lights on. Maybe not wonder. Sort of dived into the other bedroom to pull the power on the computer.

More today, they say.

Trip Report - Day 2 afternoon

I must have slept for a couple of hours. When I went back up on deck, it was bit different.

Day 3

Story woke up this morning. Now I've got a whole bunch of random scene ideas that somehow go together. But that's fine, because that's how I'm intending to write it.

Story has a working title (Fox) too, which is odd for a novel. That's a symptom of it starting life as short story :)

For a overall total of 6727, which is a decent start.
