The kitchen has obviously been certified as safe for little dogs again. Obviously the rattly-trap-going-off-level has dropped to an acceptable level i.e none.

I didn't have the heart to tell her off for being in there. We both know it's only a token rule. We seem to have a lot of token rules.

Today was very wet and wild. I went into town, twice. Somethings you really shouldn't try in wet & wild weather. One of these is buying 10 frames while carrying an umbrella and bag. Because frames are quite heavy and one of the bags holding them will break and therefore needed to be carried under your arm, while the other bag of frames hangs off the other arm, cutting off your circulation. Going to buy lunch and then pick up photos in the middle of this doesn't help. Then, of course, when you get off the bus, the second will break but it's not that far to home so you can sort of carry the two bags piled on top of each other, plus umbrella that keeps trying to blow out of your hand, plus bag & photos but, oh, there's something in the mailbox to pick up.

I went out the second time to pick up cardboard to put behind photos (acts as a border around then, in lieu of a mat). Umbrella blew inside out while I was waiting for the bus. Two of the bits that run from the shaft to the ribs pulled out and, while they'll go back in, they're bent and wont stay there. I liked that umbrella very much too :(

Stupid shop didn't have black cardboard, I had to buy slightly more expensive dark grey textured A4 paper to use instead and a pice of silver card Dripped rain from umbrella onto one of the dark, nighttime photos. Left blue streaks on it :( Did buy two wine glasses for 99c each. Thought be fun for every day use.

Caught bus around to post office and picked up the three packages there. Two were big boxes, fortunately light enough that I could carry them with one on top of the other, wouldn't have been a problem if i didn't have bag, bag from shop, another box and umbrella. Sometimes you just have to say, "I'm almost home, I don't care if I get wet & cold" and rolled the umbrella up. Really should have tied my hair back before I went out too.

Spent evening put photos into frames. The silver card looks VERY striking as a background for a dark sepia/bw photo. Have to remember that one. Worth the extra cost.

Still wet & wild outside. Bangs & bumps outside make dog a bit freaky. I should my tomatoes inside, but there's not likely to be frost tonight and I think they blew off the step into the garden anyway.
