Doesn't look like I'll get into NEIS program. Oh well, was nice to dream.

So I'll spend tonight moping around and feeling sorry for myself

It's not all bad tonight.

I've got a lot of chocolate. "A lot" being 11 twin bars of Turkish delight and 2.5 blocks of strawberry filled white stuff, which works out to 1.5 kilos, which is a decent haul

I was going to tell you take you on a trip through Hobart but when I sat down and thought about it, I realised it was a bit involved, so instead I'll do it in parts. Not all at once either, especially as it would be interupted by my trip to Hobart this weekend. Instead, I'll do it over a few weeks, when have the time and when I'm in the mood to show someone the city, the waterfront, the waterside suburbs, the Domain and the narrow, windy inner streets of the inner suburbs.

There's also a second problem. I bought the digital camera after I moved up north and my trips to Hobart since them have been rather rushed, so the range of photos on the hard drive of part of the city other than the, um, waterfront is limited. The city centre in particular is poorly represented.

But I'll make do, and to start with, a general introduction to give some context

After the cut, because there's a lot of photos )
