So I get home and can't connet and the guy on the TPG helpdesk cheerfully tells me they're having problems with that server and expect it to be back at 2 pm tomorrow. And guess what, the only other dial in number they have in Tasmania is in Hobart. Which will cost me 25 cents a minute. I hang up on him. It wasn't his fault but still.
Then I rang up Dodo Internet, because they are in the phone book, and join with them. Which would have been a much cleverer idea if TPG hadn't taken their upfront quarterly payment out of my account yesterday. So, now they're officially Bad.
Going to see how Dodo are. Just looking at their website, seems their quarterly fees is less than TPGs. Hmm. And they don't have the automatic kick off every 4 hours (if the dial in server is near capactiy and you've been connected for more than 4 hours, then you can get disconnected) which is always good.
